Still Life Painting

I'm going to teach a digital still life painting class at the Academy next semester, and I really hope it runs. I think the class would be a lot of fun, and it would be a great way to learn to paint in Photoshop-fast- for students. I'm doing some pieces to get ready.

Great still life! I wish I had that much skill with a paintbrush. I have never heard of digital still life...it seems interesting! Can you do digital life drawing?

That's awesome. Interesting class idea. Would be VERY nice, if they held the class in the Cintiq lab.
Or used ModBook Pro's to learn direct screen drawing/tablet use at the same time. (As it will be normal to do that in the future I imagine...)

Btw, have you seen "Content Aware scaling? I just saw an Adobe Creative Suite Design Preminum commercial, and they scaled a beach scene inwards, and the people in the picture didn't scrunch up, just the background of the photo. Crazy... I don't think the people were on different layers than the background, it was real time adjustment by the Adobe program...
