i decided to draw my co-workers today. these drawings are acutlally based on some drawings a student did on the chalk board in the lab.

well, i took a stab a bringing this fish a little farther along. notice any difference?

my workshop was slow, so i used the time to do a color sketch. this will hopefully give a sense of scale......finally

no new pictures today

had a looong night last night (drinky drinky) and a looong commute to work today (it took me 4.5 hours to get from livermore to S.F.-about 3.5 hours too long) and i'm giving my wacom workshop at school tonight. i've worked more on my fish, but not to a point where i'm gonna post it. so instead of a picture from me, i'll post a painting from an artist who was recently brought to my attention- roger dean. i like his stuff. i think i'm going to use it as inspiration for some of my ideas.

this weekend i tried my hand at painting again. trying to go for some texture and whatnot. i'd say i'm about halfway through this one, it's going to be a "color rough" for creature design purposes. any thoughts?

here are some ideas i have for an "air" world, a place where people live on a gas giant planet. there isnt much ground to speak of, and the skies are similar to the oceans- teaming with life and an ecosystem.
